Calculation of charges for services connected with a single take-off and landing of an aircraft at Warsaw Chopin Airport
Airport charges are levied for the use of facilities, systems or services provided by Warsaw Chopin Airport operator connected with aircraft take-off, landing, lighting and parking operations or processing of passengers. The airport charges are levied irrespective of air navigation charges, ground handling charges or charges for other services not specified in the Airport charges tariff at Warsaw Chopin Airport document.
Data for the calculation of the landing charge
- 0% - for services provided to air carriers operating mainly international transport
- 23% - for other services
Maximum take-off mass (MTOM)
The maximum permissible take-off mass specified in an official document approved by competent aviation authorities of the state where the aircraft is registered.
Data for the calculation of the noise charge
Aircraft with MTOM below 9 tonnes are included in noise category 1.
Aircraft with MTOM 9 tonnes and over, certified in accordance with Annex 16 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation,
Volume 1, Part 2, section 2 points 2.4.1 and 2.4.2, and aircraft for which PPL does not hold a document confirming noise
parameters are assigned to category 8.
Aircraft with MTOM 9 tonnes and over, certified in accordance with Annex 16 to the Convention on International Civil
Aviation, Volume 1, Part 2, sections 3, 4, 5 and 8, points 8.4.1, 8.4.2 and 14 are assigned to specific noise categories
depending on the value of the cumulated noise margin as per the below table:

Data for the calculation of the passenger charge
Number of departing passengers
The passenger charge is collected in respect of each passenger on board an aircraft at the time of take-off from Warsaw Chopin Airport, except for:
- direct transit passengers,
- children under 2
Information regarding the terminals
- Terminal A - dedicated to handling international and domestic traffic with standard infrastructure.
- Terminal General Aviation - dedicated to handling passengers and crews of private and corporate aircraft in the General Aviation traffic.
Data for the calculation of the parking charge
The parking time is the period from the moment an aircraft stops at an apron after landing to the moment it starts taxiing for take-off or to a de-icing stand prior to take-off. Change of parking stand constitutes a continuation of a commenced parking period, and the time of taxiing or towing of aircraft between stands is included in the total parking time.
No charge is payable for parking up to 3 hours. The parking charge is not calculated for night time (22:00-05:59 local time); the exclusion is only applicable during the first night of parking of a given aircraft.
